Schoenberger Group: Change in executive management

Michael Mayer, son of the founder, successfully restructured the company years ago, bringing it online and paving the way for continual growth. Ever since, the company, now with around 450 employees, has recorded enormous increases in sales of over 40% annually.

Michael Mayer now wants to withdraw from operational business and focus on the development of new markets. He will therefore be stepping down as the current CEO, applying his good national and international connections as CVO in the future, and will remain the Chairman of the Board. Norbert Mauss will remain in his position as the established CFO. Hailing from Wiesbaden, 50-year-old Markus Roth was named CEO of the Schoenberger Group on July 1, 2015.

Roth was the CFO and proxy for the world’s largest tire manufacturer Bridgestone for 11 years, with a focus on controlling, HR, credit collection, accounting & taxation, IT and sales. After, he acted as Managing Director of RADEMACHER Geräteelektronik GmbH, specialized in the production of motors and control components for roller shutters and solar protection technology, for eight years. There, he was responsible for the development of the “HomePilot” home automation system, which was very successful on the market. At the Schoenberger Group, Markus Roth will now assume responsibility for operational business, optimizing existing structures with the team while driving planned international expansions forward.

With annual increases in sales of over 40%, the Schoenberger Group remains on a growth course. Worldwide, the company currently employs around 450 associates. For the year 2015, Group sales of 95 million euros are expected. In Poland, the Schoenberger Group now has three production sites. Another site with around 200,000 m² of production and logistics space is in the planning stage. Expansions of additional production sites in other European countries are planned.

At the end of last year, the Schoenberger Group successfully began selling its products online in China as well. The company is growing by 100% each month here! Schoenberger will offer its portfolio in France, Benelux, Poland, Italy, Spain and England in mid-2016 at the latest.

As the Hohenschäftlarn location has once again become too small due to the continued enormous growth, a new administrative building is currently being planned on Zechstraße in Hohenschäftlarn. An additional 200 jobs will be created, securing the location’s viability.
